I got the chance to photograph a party recently. It was a birthday party for an old friend and it rocked. I started having so much fun that I had to break out the camera. (Yes I nerded out). I was a high spirited and therefore not in a technical state of mind. There was a lot going on and a lot to capture. I bounced an on camera flash off the ceiling or a wall all night long balancing exposure with the ambient light as much as possible. Color correcting the final photos was difficult but I had already anticipated it. I was using a slow shutter that allowed ambient light to expose my subjects. During every exposure I had a different combination of flash and fluorescent light exposing my subject so the balance of green and blue varied. But I finished and it’s done. Anyways here’s the beginning of a series of party photos.
