Elwood in Santa Barbara

Thursday, November 6th, 2008 @ 6:31 am | Business

I was digging through some archives and came across some old photos of Michael Johnson at Elwood in Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara is blessed to have some world famous extreme sports locations. Lizards Mouth is well known in the rock climbing industry as some of the greatest boulders to climb. Elwood is a huge open dirt field that bikers built some gnar jumps at. Mike took me out there one day to take some photos and test my merit. I made it across the 3′ gap no problem, but that was my limit. Mike on the other hand took to the biggest jumps and put me in my place. Cheers on that!

Thank you for a very clear and helpful post. I am definitely a violator of many of these rules. I often find myself conflicted when writing a blog post because I see myself writing more than people want to read, but I feel that I have to do the subject matter justice by thoroughly covering it. I feel that by following some of these rules I end up cutting out important aspects to the discussion. I guess you have to find a balance.
