Dead Alley

For many years city developers included alleys in residential neighborhoods. Mini streets for all the “dirty work”. Shipping, trash, parking, it was all done in the alley. It seems like something that would be invented by a home owners association. But they are so dead quiet at night. It is difficult to imagine the noise during the day while walking them at night.
